Please note: Scuba-diving excursion – 30 places available
This excursion departs from the centre of the village of Tijarafe. Shortly after setting off, we begin the descent into the “Barranco del Jorado”, which is classified as one of the Island’s Natural Monuments. Aside from its unique geographical features, this area is also of great botanical and archaeological interest, in terms of its thermophile species and the discovery of aboriginal remains in its hillside caves. After crossing the ravine, our route follows a series of gentle hills as we pass though a mixed landscape of traditional thermophile vegetation, fields and houses until reaching the “Mirador del Time”. This viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the Valle de Aridane, with its urban centre surrounded by fields of banana trees, and of the paved path marking what remains of our descent to the port of Tazacorte. Arriving at the port, we take a boat to the Cueva Bonita area to enjoy its impressive underwater landscape.
