Description:

We started the route in the municipality of El Paso, in the silk artisan workshop “Las Hilanderas”, founded in the year 2002, which shows the different tasks which are necessary for the development of various articles of silk, which is also on sale. Then visit the Benahoarita Archaeological Museum  of Los Llanos in which we discover the habitat, customs, traditions, use of the environment and beliefs religious magic of the benahoritas. Then we move us to Tazacorte the El Platano Museum, founded in 2004 and located in a traditional Canarian House, where it is exposed information especially concerning the platano and its cultivation. The route ends at the Wine Museum of Las Manchas, located in an old rural residence where we know a little more about La Palma and Canaries wines, in addition to taste wines with origin denomination of “La Palma”

Approximate duration: 6 hours.

Starting point: workshop of silk hand crafted Las Hilanderas, El Paso.

Arrival Point: Museum of the wine of Las Manchas, Los Llanos de Aridane.

Recommendations:

no presents difficulty, because it is a route in urban area, except for some minor unevenness, in addition some journeys will be made by bus. For the safety of the hiker and for the correct development of the route, it is recommended to carry the following items: water, Cap or similar, comfortable shoes, Sun protector, something to eat (dried fruits, fruit, snacks, chocolate,…), some shelter and mobile phone. Suitable for people with reduced mobility.
